This Privacy Policy explains how The Chess Brains ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit chessbrains.algologylabs.com (the "Website") or interact with our content on YouTube, Instagram, X and other platforms (together, the "Channels"). The Chess Brains is operated by Algology Labs, India.

In short: this Website has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies. We do not sell personal information.

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message. We use these only to reply to you and keep a record of the conversation.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) records standard server logs when you load a page. They are used to keep the Website secure and working, and are kept for a limited period under the hosting provider's own retention rules.

The Website does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If you follow a link to YouTube, Instagram or X, those services may set their own cookies under their own policies.

2. Our social media Channels

When you watch, like, comment on or follow our videos, that activity happens on the platform you are using, under that platform's privacy policy. We can see public information the platform shows us, such as your public username, profile picture and comments, along with aggregated statistics such as views and audience reports. Platforms do not give us your contact details or private account data.

3. Use of platform APIs and publishing tools

We use official platform APIs and scheduling tools (for example the YouTube API Services and social media scheduling services) to upload and schedule videos to our own Channels and to read statistics about our own content. These tools only act on accounts that we own and have authorised. They are not used to access, collect or store data about viewers beyond the aggregated statistics the platforms provide to channel owners.

Where we use the YouTube API Services, we follow the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can review and remove third-party access to a Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
